Safeguarding
The pupils at Wilberfoss CE Primary School are our responsibility and concern. We work in partnership with parents/carers and consider it a priority to inform and involve them at every stage of their child’s time at the school.
We place all areas of safeguarding at the forefront of our planning, procedures and policies, and most importantly, as a foundation to all daily activities. Each day, staff ensure that children are safe, nurtured and that their needs are met. Safeguarding forms a 'golden thread' throughout our school's operations.
Our cross-school team of staff work closely together to ensure that there is a robust foundation of safeguarding practice underpinning everything we do from day to day classroom procedures to our overarching curriculum aims and school vision and values.
There may be rare occasions when concerns about a child mean that we have to consult other agencies even before we contact the parents. The East Riding Safeguarding Children Board has laid down the procedures we follow, and the school has adopted a Child Protection Policy in line with this to ensure the safety of everyone.
More information on our safeguarding policies can be found below and in the attached documents. If you want to know more about our procedures, or policies, please speak to the Headteacher.
If you have any concerns or queries relating to child protection, please do not hesitate to get in touch by calling 01759 380327.
